Whelp... it's been over a month since I've shown my face on here. Things have been busy and I just needed to step away from this for a little while. But, my little sabbatical is over and I'm baaaaack!
So... here's what's been happening around these parts.
~For my birthday weekend, we took a little trip south to spend some time with one of my best friends and her little family. This girl and I have been doing our best to leave our mark on the world since we were in 3rd grade. I love that can pick right up wherever we left off, no matter how long it's been.
~I got a job- woo woo! I miss my days of creativity and productivity, but a paycheck is pretty nice, too. Kahler and I don't work far from each other, so on most days, we get to ride into town together and have lunch a few times a week- love that!
~I've been volunteering as the Administrative Assistant for One27, being especially involved in our Scholarship Program. Y'all know my heart will always be in Africa and it brings me so much joy to know that even though I'm here for now, I can still help have an impact over there.
~We spent Labor Day with my family on the lake. It acted like it wanted to rain all day, but never really did. We didn't let the clouds stop us from soaking up some time on the water (or each other!).
~We've been designing, building, painting, and creating just about every spare minute we have. Our little business has been growing a little and we're going to be set up at a craft show this fall. Looking forward to seeing where that goes!
~Lots of football. Last week marked the start of college football and these two Aggies couldn't be more excited. We love any excuse to have people over and eat good food- ESPECIALLY when there's a game on tv!! Looking forward to filling our house as often as we can this fall.
I suppose that's all I've got for now. I promise to be back sooner this time. :)
Peace out, girl scouts.
